getting operational in the year 2007. The main two distributions have been in State Electricity Distribution Company Limited and State Electricity Transmission Company limited The WBSEDCL handle 96% power consumption in West Bengal which is carried out from village
to industrial areas. They are serving more than 1 crore customers in this area through their dedicated services, Out of
which 5 zones are handling service network, 53 handles distribution divisions, 17 regional offices and 464 customer care centers. The WBSETCL provides transmitting power at 66 KV, 132 KV, 220 KV and 440 KV in the areas of West Bengal .The latest electricity Slab rates in the state of West Bengal as implemented by the state government are as
• 301 to 450 units- Rs 6.4 per unit
• 451 to 900 units- Rs 6.6 per unit
• Above 900 units- Rs 8.10 per unit
