Punjab State Electricity Board Bill Payment-The Punjab State Electricity Board was formed on 1-2-1959 under the Electricity Supply Act 1948. The reorganization of erstwhile State of Punjab under the Act 1966 was done and came into existence in the year 1967. They are equipped with modern capacity of 62 MW which was later grown up in leaps and bounds with higher capacities of 6841 MW including the Central Sectors
The payment is allowed through Debit/Credit card or net banking which will impose their 1% charge in case of such payments
The PSEB has been constructed and maintained its distribution & transmission system with the efficient services for various electricity consumers in the State. They are handling more than 66.83 Lakh customers out of which 1.12 Lakh comes in industrial areas, 10.33 Lakh in Agriculture connection and 54.86 in General Category.
The latest electricity Slab rates in the state of Punjab as implemented by the state government are as follows:-
• From 1 unit to 100 units- Rs 4.56 per unit
• From 101 units to 300 units- Rs 6.14 per unit
• Above 301- Rs 6.56 per unit
To get information of you electricity bill online the PSPCL has introduced e-payment method that will ask you valid account number which you have created for the first time on it at the time of registration.
After which they will ask for Card type, credit card number and holder name etc to make the payment online. Once PSPCL verify your account then it will generate an online receipt which is required to be saved by the customer in form of print out for future references. Similarly the details can be checked online through e-payment.
